Rio Maior (pron. IPA: ['ʁiu mɐi'ɔɾ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 272.8 km² and a total population of 21,621 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of 14 parishes, and is located in the district of Santarém.

The present Mayor is Silvino Manuel Gomes Sequeira, elected by the Socialist Party.

The municipal holiday is November 6.
