Rink Hockey Champions League

The Rink Hockey Champions League is an annual rink hockey club competition organized by CERH (Comité Européen de Rink-Hockey) with the most successful teams of Europe. It is the most prestigious club competition in this sport. Since its foundation in 1965 under the name of the European Cup, the Catalan teams have dominated the competition. In 1997, the European Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup merged as the Champions League.
The current holder of the CERH Champions League is FC Barcelona Sorli Discau , from Spain, who beat Bassano Hockey 5-2 at Bassano, Italy, on 1 April 2007.

Nowadays, the competition is composed by a qualifying round and then a 1st round. Then, 8 teams are placed into 2 groups and the 2 best classificated of each group play a final-four playoff in an European city.
