From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the Inner Ring Road of New Delhi. For the Outer Ring Road, see Outer Ring Road, New Delhi.

New Delhi features 2 ring roads, a main one and an outer one. The two ring roads have a combined length of 87 km.

Delhi's Inner Ring Road covers 40 km and is signal-free except for a small number of crossings. The road features three lanes in each direction, and is currently being widened to four lanes in each direction. It features a few flyover links to the Outer Ring Road.

The road also features robotic street sweeping systems, initiated recently by Chief Minister Sheila Dixit.
