Riki Rachtman

Riki Rachtman (born June 15, 1965 as David Alan Rachtman in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California) is an American TV and radio personality.

He is the brother of Karyn Rachtman, a music supervisor and consultant for many films.

In the late 1980's Rachtman fronted L.A. Metal Act "VIRGIN" (Not the project Gene Simmons produced in the 70's of the same name) as Lead Vocalist.

Rachtman is the former host of Loveline, and host of the original Headbangers Ball (replacing then-host Adam Curry), a heavy metal show on MTV from 1990-1995. His friend at the time, Axl Rose, reportedly was instrumental in him getting the job at MTV.

He is also former co-owner of the Cathouse Club (with Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat fame), which was a showcase for many of the heavy metal bands that were featured on Headbangers Ball.

Since the show's cancellation, he has been doing radio work and been involved with several attempts to resurrect the Cathouse Club. Currently Riki has a syndicated radio show, Racing Rocks, which has a NASCAR and rock music theme.

He also owns a skateboard company called Pool School. Rachtman also worked in 1999 and 2000 with World Championship Wrestling. During his time there he was a backstage interviewer.

Rachtman dated adult-film actress and exotic dancer Janine Lindemulder (also known as 'Janine') for a number of years, but have since broken up.

During his time as a radio talk show host at KLSX in Los Angeles, he hosted the radio show 'Riki Rachtman Radio.' His show came abruptly to an end when he assaulted a fellow show host on the same station, after the said host insulted his girlfriend at the time, Janine Lindemulder.

He currently is the host of for the NASCAR.com show NASCAR 24/7 Live and works part time on NASCAR RaceDay. He is known to be a regular of the NASCAR.com chat room to advertise his show and talk to the fans for show ideas.
