[edit] request for arbitration.

arbitration has been requested for a dispute that you are or may be involved in. please see Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#User:Nkras indefinitely blocked by admin User:Zscout370 r b-j 04:49, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I hope you will come back

Nkras's block is under review at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Disputed indef block of User:Nkras, and will very probably be lifted if Nkras requests it and affirms an intention to use "wiki ways" in the future. I noticed one of your comments to Coredesat and I hope you don't think I was playing games here; I merely requested a WP:SALTing and I see now that it wasn't necessary. Nobody requested a block of Nkras; Zscout370 noticed and interpreted his behavior as that of a disruptive editor, and blocked accordingly. Such processes do not always work out the way we wish, that's why there's WP:ANI and the case I opened there for block review. I hope you'll also read my call for Assuming Good Faith at User talk:Nkras#Overreaction?; my hope is that this helps us put ourselves in Zscout370's shoes as well. You're invited to comment at the WP:ANI case I linked to at the beginning of this message. If you just want to wait this one out, that's fine too. I'm sorry this has been so stressful for you. I've found working with you to be a rare pleasure and I hope you'll come back in time. If not, I understand, and I'm glad we crossed paths. — coelacan talk — 21:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Coelacan--I am very sorry for my behavior. I did not assume good faith and should have. I plan on returning when I can act like a disinterested party.--GMS508 00:19, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm glad to hear all of that. I did not take offense; I assumed there was a misunderstanding. I don't "know you" but I know you well enough to guess that you would have reacted differently if you knew all the details. So I just laid out all the details. =) I don't think anyone is upset with you and I know Nkras and Jeffpw have appreciated your advocacy. As you can see at User talk:Nkras, it's entirely in his hands now; he's getting his review and the conditions of his unblocking are being sorted out. So, maybe all's well that ends well. In any case, thanks for listening my perspective. I'll keep an eye out for you. =) — coelacan talk — 03:48, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
