Rifaat Turk (Hebrew: רפעת טורק) is the deputy mayor of Tel Aviv, Israel. As a former football player, he was the first Arab to ever play on the Israel national football team.

[edit] Early life

The son of a Jaffa fisherman, Turk, did not go to school very often and would hang out with friends by the Jaffa port. One day he was spotted by a scout of Hapoel Tel Aviv FC. This would change his life forever[1].

[edit] Today
