Ridgewood Pearl Stakes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ridgewood Pearl Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for four-year-old and above thoroughbred fillies and mares run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at the Curragh during the Irish 2,000 Guines meeting in May.

The race was introduced in 2004 and is named after the Irish-trained filly Ridgewood Pearl, winner of the 1995 Breeders' Cup Mile, who died in May 2003. Having initially been classed as a Group 2 race, it was downgraded to a Group 3 in 2007.
