Ridge (geometry)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In geometry, a ridge is an (n-2)-dimensional element of an n-dimensional polytope.
By dimension, this corresponds to:
- a vertex of a polygon;
- an edge of a polyhedron;
- a face of a polychoron (4-polytope);
- a cell of a 5-polytope;
- and so forth.
Exactly two facets meet at any ridge in a polytope.
