[edit] Plot synopsis
Batman and Detective Yin's secret alliance is put at risk when they must work together to solve a string of riddles which have been scattered thoughout Gotham, fearing Riddler will make good on his threat to destroy the city.
[edit] Plot summary
Detective Yin is forced to try to defuse several bombs inside of City Hall. The bombs are set to blow if the time runs out before a riddle can be answered. Batman shows up at the nick of time to answer it, defusing the bombs and saving City Hall. A hologram of a man appears in the hourglass timer, and the man introduces himself as the Riddler. Believing it was Yin who answered his riddle, he gives her a second riddle and tells her to defuse the next set of bombs. If any police are seen or heard aside from her, the bombs will be detonated.
With the second riddle, Yin uses it to find out where the next set of bombs will be - Gotham Bridge. Using an ear-piece to keep in contact with Batman, she pulls up on the bridge, stopping behind a parked green van with question marks on it. As she steps into the back, she is given a puzzle, in which she must click different blocks on the screen to complete it. Batman watches from a distance, telling her which parts of the screen to click, but Chief Rojas sneaks up behind the van, aggravating Riddler, who uses a remote to close the doors and lock Yin inside before making the van speed along the bridge. Luckily, Batman manages to plant a Batarang camera inside the van before the doors close, and he continues to give Yin the answers. When she finishes the puzzle, Riddler is surprised at her intellect, and uses his remote to drive the van off of the bridge. Batman manages to save Yin while the van smashes into the rocks below, and when she runs back into it, Riddler is surprised further to see her alive and without a scratch. He gives her another clue as to the location of the next bombs, the Orchesta Hall. The next bombs after that are found on a speeding sky-train, and finally at the museum. Yin manages to defuse them all, but as she reaches the museum exhibits, Batman realizes that there is no correct answer to the riddle. With that, he pulls the cords on the bombs, and is discovered that they're only filled with - gelatin dessert! He also realizes that Riddler has been leaving clues as to his whereabouts every time he speaks to Yin, and the clues lead back to the place of the first bomb: City Hall.
When Yin arrives back at City Hall, she confronts Riddler and his team of hackers, who have used a drill to bore into the computer database and are draining it of all its knowledge. Riddler’s plan is to use the information for whenever he needs it (e.g.: bank accounts). He reveals that he knows that Batman has been helping her, claiming that the wild goose chase with the bombs were meant to lead him away from his real crime instead of the police, and Batman steps out of the shadows. Riddler then sets off a flash from his cane that blinds Yin and Batman before he gasses them both. When the wake up, they are both fastened down by metal clamps, and they are on either side of a large, circular room. Riddler explains that he’s going to play a game of 20 Questions with the Batman about Batman’s true identity. If Batman lies, a lie detector will know, and it will trigger a blast of electricity, directed at Yin. For every answer he lies about, the voltage will increase. The game begins, but only three questions in, Yin tries to stop the game by saying that Batman is really Ethan Bennett. Riddler covers her mouth to stop her, and Batman lies about the answer to the Riddler’s question. The Riddler then realizes that he’s standing in front of Yin, and his own weapon gives him a large blast of electricity. Batman escapes the clamps, but Riddler then escapes through a lowering platform. Batman and Yin follow after him before splitting up. Batman goes after Riddler while Yin takes care of his hackers.
Riddler attacks Batman with his cane, and after a short battle, Batman knocks Riddler off his feet with a punch to the jaw. Riddler then opens a door to sick his henchmen on Batman, but is horrified to find that Yin has knocked them all out. Riddler is then arrested, but uses another riddle to inform Chief Rojas that one of his detectives, Yin, works hand-in-hand with the Batman. Rojas doesn’t believe him, much to Yin’s relief, and Riddler is carted off to Arkham.
