Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes. Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advise, please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into you signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!5aret 01:41, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit Summaries
Hi, I just spotted your change on the Ubuntu Linux page and took a look. Please could you add an edit summary for each change you make - even if it is as simple as 'typo' or 'spelling'. It just makes it easier to monitor pages for vandalism/influxes of changes. Cheers, Localzuk (talk) 18:51, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Msorigami6gj.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Msorigami6gj.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 06:31, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sock puppet template
For anyone editing this page adding the sock puppet template, please read Wikipedia:Sock_puppet#Tagging_identified_sock_puppets:
You are supposed to use the template {{Sockpuppet|1=SOCKPUPPETEER|evidence=[[EVIDENCE]]}} with some specific evidence. Simply pointing to his general contributions is not really evidence. It is clear that this user is disputing he is a Sock, so those who accuse him must bring some evidence. For the moment I am therefore removing the template. jacoplane 03:44, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well I just discovered that there is some evidence being collected here, the suspected sockpuppet template can be added. jacoplane 06:52, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Given that this has now been confirmed by Essjay, I have blocked you for trying to evade a previous indefinite ban. jacoplane 07:48, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jedi6 RfA
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy: There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that you may be blocked for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thanks. Jedi6-(need help?) 06:00, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Rolling-stones-copacabana-18-02-11.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Rolling-stones-copacabana-18-02-11.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --Flominator 19:21, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Soe top.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Soe top.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
