[edit] Does he need his own article

Does Richard Kerry really need his own article? As he is really only notable as the father of John Kerry, couldn't his information just be included as part of John Kerry's page? - DropDeadGorgias (talk) 16:49, Apr 30, 2004 (UTC)

Perhaps it's not essential. I wouldn't miss it if it were not here, but then following the credo of "Wikipedia is not paper" and comparing to all the articles about extreme minute in WP, I don't see any good reason why he shouldn't have his own article. I'm not arguing to keep it, just pointing out that there's probably not much harm in keeping it. It's conceivable that someone might want to expand some more on the story begind the family's European Jewish turned Catholic roots, more so than would easily fit into the already overstuffed John Kerry article. olderwiser 18:08, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Should I put it up to VFD then? - DropDeadGorgias (talk) 18:14, Apr 30, 2004 (UTC)

Your call, I'll probably refrain from voting, since I'm decidedly ambivalent about it and not particularly motivated one way or the other. olderwiser 18:25, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Alumnus of Andover?

While I am not truly doubting that Richard Kerry was an alum of Philips Andover, I am curious as to how the Kerry's were able to afford such a prestigious education or even how Richard Kerry was accepted at that time in history. Should not this information be in this listing?

[edit] Disputed passage

Can the following be proven by anyone? This "story" came to light around the time Kerry was courting the Jewish vote:

"A Czech historian has shown that Ida is a descendant of Sinai Loew, one of three older brothers of Rabbi Judah Loew (1525-August 22, 1609), a famous Kabbalist, philosopher and talmudist known as the Maharal of Prague who some say invented the infamous character of the Golem."

If anyone can prove Kerry's connection to the famous rabbi via his grandmother, let me know. Contact me on my talk page. Thanks. IZAK 13:34, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
