Rico Vonck

Rico Vonck (born March 12, 1987, in Roermond, Holland) is a Dutch darts player from Posterholt in the the Netherlands. He qualified for the 2007 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship having finished second in the DDF (Dutch Darts Federation) rankings. Michael van Gerwen had finished top of the list, but he has opted to play in the BDO version instead.

Vonck was only 19 years-old when he won his place at the Circus Tavern, and is yet to turn professional - he currently earns his full-time living as a decorator. He won his first round match against world number 16 Mark Walsh, who was reported to be suffering from dartitis. He then went on to beat Canadian qualifier Brian Cyr in round two but failed to win a single leg against fellow Dutchman and four-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld in the last 16, losing 0-4.

Vonck used the nickname Sparky at the Circus Tavern.
