Rick "The Rod" Donovan (born 1963) was a pornographic actor who appeared in gay and bi-sexual pornographic movies and gay porn magazines beginning in 1984.

Donovan was best known for having a very thick, 10-inch (25-cm) long penis. In a famous scene, Donovan topped male straight porn legend Peter North in the 1984 film The Bigger, the Better. When questioned, Peter North (a.k.a. Matt Ramsey) refused to discuss this scene even though there is blatant evidence suggesting that he was the "bottom" man for "The Rod".

In the late 1980s, Donovan appeared in a video entitled Think Big with a young man called "Rodd Donovan," and billed as his "much bigger nephew." Although the two bore more than a passing resemblance to one another, the most convincing evidence of their family relationship with the size (and shape) of their penises. Rick and Rodd do one scene together at the baths, but this is a brief one, of mostly jacking off. Rodd only appeared in this one video.

In the early 1990s, Donovan, whose real name is Dirk Moon, lived in San Diego and worked part-time as a bartender at the Brass Rail, a popular gay bar.
