Richard Edward Bauer, born January 10, 1977 in Garden Grove, California, is a relief pitcher who most recently played for the Texas Rangers. He attended Treasure Valley Community College.
Rick Bauer played for the Baltimore Orioles from 2001-2005, when he was declared a free agent. Bauer was then signed to a minor league contract by the Texas Rangers, and was called up to the Major League club on April 7, 2006. Bauer was designated for assignment on March 26, 2007 and was placed on waivers on March 28 for the purpose of giving him his unconditional release [1].
