Richie Cunningham (born August 18, 1970 in Houma, Louisiana) was a place kicker in the National Football League. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, and Jacksonville Jaguars from 1997 to 2002. Due to the fact that he shared the same name as a famous 1970's sitcom character, the Cowboys radio games would always play the theme song to Happy Days whenever he made a field goal.
Cunningham is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
