Richard Zimler (b. 1956 in Roslyn Heights) is a best-selling author of fiction. His books have won the 1994 National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship in Fiction and the 1998 Herodotus Award, and have been published in many countries. He is a Stanford University granduate. Zimler lives in Porto, Portugal, and is Professor of Journalism at the University of Porto.
