Richard Witschge

Richard P. Witschge (born September 20, 1969 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland) is a former football midfielder from The Netherlands, who earned 31 caps for the Netherlands national football team, in which he scored one goal. He was a member of the Dutch team at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy under manager Leo Beenhakker.

Witschge made his debut for Holland on February 21, 1990, in a friendly against Italy (0-0). The younger brother of Dutch international Rob, Richard played for Ajax Amsterdam (1986-91), FC Barcelona (1991-93), Girondins Bordeaux (1993-95), Blackburn Rovers (1995), Ajax (1996-2000), Deportivo Alavés (2001-02), Ajax (2002-03), and Oita Trinita (2004).
