Richard Wilkinson (public health)

Richard Wilkinson is a leading researcher in social inequalities in health. He is a professor of social epidemiology at the University of Nottingham in the UK. His two-page article in New Society published on16 December 1976, entitled 'Dear David Ennals' played an important part in the setting up of the Black Report. He is an active member of the Socialist Health Association which has published some of his writing and taken up the theme of inequality which is his central concern.
