Richard V. Gotti is a Mafia member of the Gambino crime family and the younger brother of John Gotti.

Richard V. Gotti was born in 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to John Gotti, Sr. and his wife, Fannie. Richard had 4 brothers who also became criminals, John, Gene, Peter and Vincent. He became an associate of the Gambino crime family around 1962 and became a made member in 1988. In 1999, he was promoted to Capo by his brother John who was running the family from prison.
He was convicted of extortion with his brother Peter in 2003 and received a 16 year prison sentence. His inmate number was 67908-053. He was released on August 12, 2005. Bureau of Prisons website
He has a son, Richard G. Gotti, who is a made member of the Gambino crime family and was convicted of extortion with him in 2003.
