Richard Stemp

Richard David Stemp is a first class cricketer who appeared for no less than four counties - Worcestershire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshireand Leicestershire - in a first class career which spanned from 1990 to 2002.

Born on the 11th of December 1967 in Birmingham, Stemp was a slow left arm bowler who claim close to winning a test cap on several occasions. He was a member of the England squad picked to play New Zealand in 1994 but was left out of the final eleven.

In 166 matches he took 385 wickets, with a best of 6-37, at 35.20. He scored 1657 runs at 12.36 with a best of 66. In 153 one day matches he took 161 wickets at 31.42 with a best of 4-25. He currently plays for Northampton Saints in the Northants League.
