Richard Short

St. Ives born artist.

Richard Short was born in 1841 in St. Ives, Cornwall. By 1881 he had moved to Cardiff where he was employed as a Ship Broker. However by 1901 he had established himself as an artist, specialised in maritime scenes. His works include scenes of Penarth Cardiff, the Bosphoros and Corsica. He died in 1916.
