Richard Scudamore

Richard Scudamore is currently Chief Executive of the F.A. Premier League, a position he has held since October 1999.

In the past two years he has been responsible for negotiating broadcasting and sponsorship contracts worth in excess of £1.6 billion. He is also on the board of the Football Foundation, the organisation responsible for granting £60 million per year to fund grass roots football. These roles followed a two-year period as Chief Executive of the Football League - responsible for the other 72 professional clubs outside the Barclaycard Premiership.

Before football Richard worked for 10 years in the newspaper industry, mainly for Thomson. He joined them as Group Advertising Director but went on to spend his last three years with the Thomson Corporation in the US as Senior Vice President responsible for all their newspaper operations in the southern and eastern United States.
