Richard Ronald John Copeland Esq. (1884–1958), since 1913 was the president and chairman of the Spode-Copeland firm of bone china manufacturers in Staffordshire.

Second son of Richard Pirie Copeland and grand son of Alderman W T Copeland. In 1915 Ronald married Ida Copeland Fenzi grand daughter of Sir Douglas Strutt Galton.

  • Member Committee of Pottery Section, Royal Society of Arts;
  • Chairman Executive Committee Stoke-on-Trent Children's Convalescent Home;
  • President of the North Staffordshire Boy Scouts' Association;
  • Freeman of the City of London;
  • Prime Warden of Goldsmiths' Company.
  • High Sheriff, Staffs, 1939;
  • President Staffordshire Society, 1951
  • Donor of the Kibblestone Hall Estate in 1954 to the the North Staffordshire Boy Scouts' Association.
