Richard Pyrah

Richard Michael Pyrah, known as 'Rich', is a first class cricketer who is contracted to play with Yorkshire County Cricket Club for the 2007 season.

Born on November 1, 1982 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire and educated at Ossett High School, this six foot tall right hand batsman and right arm medium pacer has been used mainly in one day and Twenty20 cricket in the early part of his career. He made his one day debut in 2001 but had to wait until 2004 for his first class bow.

He has scored 236 first class runs in 6 matches up to the end of the 2006 season, with a best of 78 against Worcestershire, at an average of 26.22 and taken 3 wickets at 12. In 19 list A one day games he has scored 328 runs at 19.29 with a top score of 42 and taken 12 wickets at 26.58.

His 8 Twenty20 matches brought him 100 runs at 25 in 2005 and 2006.
