Richard Alexander Pybus (born July 5, 1964, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland) is an English-born cricketer and cricket coach.

Born and raised in the North-East of England, Richard Pybus' cricketing ambitions as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler were thwarted by injury. He played once for the minor county Suffolk in 1986, and once for Worcestershire's 2nd XI in 1990. He turned to coaching in his mid twenties.

He coached Border in South Africa, before twice coaching the Pakistan test team between 1999-2001 and 2003. Following a second spell with Border, he coached Titans between 2005 and 2006/2007. He was appointed 1st XI coach of Middlesex in February 2007.
