Richard Lovett

Richard Lovett (Ricardus de Louvet) was a Seigneur of Upper Normandy who accomanpied William the Conqueror into England in 1066. His sons, William and Robert Lovett were rewarded with land grants in England that were listed in the Doomsday Books and stayed with the family into the twentieth-century.
Ricardus de Louvet's tomb is at the catherdral in Rouen, France. His name, and that of his sons' are memorialized on the doors of the Church of Notre Dame at Dives, Normandy.
Descendants are buried at Soulbury Church at the family manor at Liscombe England as well as St. Michan's Church in Dublin where Christopher Lovett had been lord mayor in the 1670s, beginning the Irish branch of the family.
Descendants include Verney Lovett Cameron.
