Richard Grey (doctor)

Richard Grey, D.D. (1694 - 1771), was born in Newcastle and studied at Oxford. From 1720, he was rector of Hinton, Northamptonshire.

He published Memoria Technica; or a New Method of Artificial Memory in 1730. The system he described there was very complicated . It differed from the mnemonic major system in that it used both consonants and vowels.
