Richard Dickerson

Richard "Dick" Dickerson served as a member of the California State Assembly from 1998 until 2002. He represented the 2nd district. He chose not to run for a third term in 2002, instead deciding to run for the 4th district senate seat vacated by Maurice Johannessen who was term limited. Dickerson lost the primary to Sam Aanestad. Dickerson served on the Redding city council prior to his election and after his loss in the State Senate primary, Dickerson was once again elected to the Redding city council.
