Richard Beebe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Richard Beebe (c. 1930-August 29, 1998) was on the air for five decades in Los Angeles and won two Golden Mic Awards. It was his experience and wit that moulded The Credibility Gap into its famous four man group. He was an original Beatnik still working and being creative in the late 1960s when he discovered Harry Shearer, David L. Lander, and Michael McKean, all much younger than he. Most of their early work can be heard at the Museum of Television and Radio in Los Angeles And NYC.
