Richard Archdeacon

Richard Archdeacon was an Irish Jesuit who wrote Catholic works in both English and Irish. Webb, in his Compendium of Irish Biography (Dublin, 1878), declared that Archdeacon's treatise on miracles "is said to have been the first book printed in English and Irish conjointly."
