Richard Andrews

Richard Andrews (? – October 28, 1835) was the first person killed during the Texas Revolution.

Andrews, an Indian fighter, joined the Texan army at the beginning of the Texas Revolution. He fought at the Battle of Concepción. He was the only Texan killed in the Battle of Concepción.

Andrews County, Texas, and its county seat, Andrews, Texas, were named for him.
