Richard A. Devine

Richard A. "Dick" Devine (born July 5, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois) is the current Cook County (IL) State's Attorney. He was elected to his third term in November 2004. Devine is a graduate of Loyola Academy, Loyola University Chicago, and the Northwestern University School of Law. A lawyer for over 35 years, he has argued before the Illinois Appellate Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, the 7th Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
