Rich Zvosec

Rich Zvosec (born 1961) is a collegiate basketball coach. The Lorain, Ohio native is coaching the University of Missouri–Kansas City since 2001, after succeeding Dean Demopoulos.

After graduating from Lorain Catholic High School in 1979, Zvosec enrolled at Defiance College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business. In 1988 he took over as head coach at Saint Francis College, becoming the youngest Division I coach in the country at age 27. In his third year, the Terriers recorded the program's first winning season since 1969 and had the most DI wins in two decades. Zvosec left as the school's third all-time winningest coach in 1991, and became head coach at the University of North Florida, the first the school ever had. In 1997 he left UNF for one year at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. In 2001 he succeeded Dean Demopoulos as head coach at UMKC. Thus far, four of his five teams have finished with winning records.

Coach Zvosec was fired from UMKC on March 13, 2007.
