Rich International Airways was a charter and cargo airline based out of Miami, Florida. The airline ceased operations in 1996, following bankruptcy.

[edit] History

Rich International Airways was founded as a cargo company in 1969. The company expanded to charter operations and by 1994 was operating several Honolulu, Hawaii-West Coast and Honolulu, Hawaii-Alaska charter routes along with some Caribbean and South American destinations operated from Miami International Airport.

The airline was involved in a dispute with the FAA over the illegal transport of oxygen tanks which ultimately caused the crash of a ValuJet flight.
