Ricardo Miguel Moreira da Costa (born May 16, 1981 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal), usually known simply by Ricardo Costa (pron. IPA: [ʁi'kaɾdu 'kɔʃtɐ]) is a Portuguese football (soccer) player who currently plays as a defender for FC Porto.
Costa is a product of Boavista's youth system, although he moved to Porto when he was still an apprentice. He made his debut for the Porto first team in a 2002 derby match against Boavista.
He played for Portugal at under-21 level and was also a part of the Olympic team that played in Athens 2004. He was called up to the first team squad for the 2006 World Cup.
