Rhytida otagoensis is a terrestrial gastropod in the family Rhytididae, endemic to the South Island of New Zealand. It is found in the southern part of the South Island.
The shell is larger than the living adult size of Rhytida australis, with deeper whorls, and less prominent malleations, crossed by weak irregular axial folds and growth-lines. Colour is greenish-olive, the umbilicus without a dark zone.
Major diameter is up to 18 mm, and height up to 10 mm.
