Rhytida meesoni perampla Powell, 1946 |
Rhytida meesoni perampla is a terrestrial gastropod in the family Rhytididae, endemic to the South Island of New Zealand. It is found from the Takaka Saddle down the west coast to the Mokihinui River.
The shell attains a much larger size than in the typical meesoni subspecies, has a smaller umbilicus, only one tenth the major diameter of the base, and the sculpture consists of stronger, more dense malleations, but the spiral striations are subobsolete.
Major diameter is up to 15 mm, and height up to 8 mm.
