The insect tribe Rhynchophorini is the largest part of the weevil family Curculionidae, subfamily Dryophthorinae. Alonso-Zarazaga & Lyal (1999) treated it as subfamily (Rhynchophorinae). Weevils of this tribe have pygidium (VII abdominal tergite) not covered with elytra.

This tribe includes the largest weevils of subfamily, such as palm weevil, and the most common grain pests like rice weevil.
