Route 402 is a numbered State Highway running 1.2 miles in the U.S. state of Rhode Island.

Note: All RI 4xx highways were a southern terminus for RI 4 at various stages of its construction. All 4xx routes connect RI 4 to US 1.

Route 402 takes the following route through the State:

• East Greenwich: 0.5 miles; Route 2 to North Kingstown town line
  • Frenchtown Road
• North Kingstown: 0.7 miles; East Greenwich town line to U.S. Route 1
  • Frenchtown Road
