Route 179 is a numbered State Highway running 3.8 miles in Rhode Island.

- Note: This State highway is one of four (RI 77, RI 81, RI 177 and RI 179) whose Rhode Island sections only serve the Tiverton/Little Compton area.
Route 179 takes the following route through the State:
- Tiverton: 2.8 miles; Route 77 to Little Compton town line
- East Road and Stone Church Road
- Little Compton: 1.0 miles: Tiverton town line to Route 81
- Church Road

Route 179 is a short connector between Route 77 and Route 81 which are the two main roads in Tiverton and Little Compton.
