Rhett Biglands (born September 4, 1977) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

[edit] Overview

He was recruited by Port Adelaide and placed on their list but did not play a game. He was delisted and drafted by the Crows.

Debuting in 2000, Biglands now plays as a ruckman with the Adelaide Crows.

In 2006, Biglands severely injured his knee partially tearing the ACL during a dive for the ball in the preliminary final against West Coast, ruling him out for the 2007 season and maybe ending his career (and pehaps Crows finals hopes for 2007), leaving the Crows at a disadvantage in the ruck as they were overran by the heavily favoured Eagles despite a 22-point halftime lead. This injury was similar to Trent Hentchel's in which the knee was pushed sideways, though not as severe. Biglands actually took himself off the ground after the injury, and the tear was partial. If the tear was full he wouldn't have been able to walk.
