She had just been converted to carry 16 polaris missiles in silos no. 3 hatch and atomic bombs in no. 2 hatch. The ship was built in 1944 in Montreal and had previously been manned by Chinese crew. We operated between Gaerloch Head and Devonport and also Charlestown. S. Carolina with RR in Irelands Isle Bermuda.I paid off after 5 months but I believe she went to scrap in 69 |
