Rex Beisel

Rex Beisel (24 October 1893 – February 1972) was an aeronautical engineer who led the design of the Vought F4U Corsair. Beisel grew up in Cumberland, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington. He worked for numerous aircraft companies, including Curtiss, Vought, and United Aircraft Corporation, until his retirement in 1949.
