Rewen is the nickname of a fictional anthromorphic fox by the name of Alexander Rewen Roderick or the main character of the fictional writing The Waking Dream.

Alexander Rewen Roderick is a care-free, indulgent, child prodigy currently attending his third year of study at La Sorbonne University, in Paris, France - though he grew up a poor orphan in Germany.

When he was 12 years old, he claimed an inheritance from an unknown benefactor. The inheritance included eight billion dollars, and the required lifetime services of a specificly chosen bodyguard, who goes by the name of Luke Barclay. Strange instructions included with the inheritance entitled Alexander to only a certain amount of his cash every year, and also somewhat moderated by the required bodyguard.

Despite the boy lacking much interested in his family, Alexander still wondered who had passed on their fortune to him, but was unable to find any answers.

Alexander’s journey to find the truth begins when a mysterious fiend, whose intentions are unknown, attacks him unprovoked. He seems only to know violence toward Alex, and he nearly dies before the insane monster is brought down.

The near-death experience brought on by this madman unlocks strange memories, voices, extraordinary lucid dreams, and frequent cases of deja vu in Alex and he is left to wonder if he is going insane or if these omens mean something more...
