Wikipedia:Revotes on Vfd

This proposal was rejected by the community. It has not gained consensus and seems unlikely to do so. Per Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines: "consensus support is not present...whether there is active discussion or not."

If the content of a page has been extensively rewritten to deal with objections and concerns, then it is possible to call for a revote. The revote must be seconded by one person who initially voted Delete based on the old version of the article. (This prevents frivolous revotes.)

The purpose of a revote is to get a fresh perspective and avoid misconceptions which have accrued due to the old version of the article. It is *not* to be used simply to keep a page alive. Multiple revotes are not allowed.

The suggested format for a revote entry on Vfd is:

[new name of article], formerly [old name of article]
