I was the person who asked for expansion for this article. Even though it provided accurate biographical information, it failed to mention any miracles, major events (Appearence of the stigmata- happened while kneeling before cross. Placed under "house arrest" by Pope-Supposedly was then able to biolocate. Prophecies- knew stigmata would disappear at death. Also knew he would die when the Pope blessed his casket.) This article's neutrality has been disputed forever. The supporters and opposers must try to see eye to eye. I see that many of the criticism agaisnt Mother Teresa are justifiable under the terms of her established philosopy. [edit] Catholic Teaching on Abortion

(NOTE: Sorry for editing your User page!) Official Catholic teaching allows only indirect abortion as a secondary effect of treatment of the mother in a life-threatening case. One example is chemotherapy for uterine cancer. The chemo will kill the child, but that is not the intent. Another is removal of a fallopian tube which contains an ectopic pregnancy. Taking a drug which kills the ectopic embryo is not allowed, because it is direct abortion, but removal of a "distressed" fallopian tube is allowed, because it is a treatment of the mother.
