Revolutionary Workers League (New Zealand)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Revolutionary Workers League is a Marxist political party in New Zealand. It was formed by a merger of two smaller groups, the Workers' Party of New Zealand and the revolution group. The Workers' Party was a Maoist (or at least, "pro-Mao") group established in 1991, while revolution was originally known as the "Revolutionary Marxist Collective". Both these organizations were participants in the Anti-Capitalist Alliance, and the Revolutionary Workers League remains strongly connected to the ACA (now known as the Workers Party of New Zealand).
