Revolution (vodka bars)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Revolution is a bar chain of Great Britain specializing in branded and flavoured vodka. The chain is owned by Ashton-under-Lyne based firm Inventive Leisure, with the first bar opening near the BBC North premises on Oxford Road, Manchester in 1996.

The chain is currently owned by the venture capital group Alchemy Partners, who paid £42m for Inventive Leisure, with over 40 venues in the chain. The company recently celebrated their 10th birthday across the estate with parties held in all the bars. September sees the return of the popular "I LOVE VODKA" campaign aimed at celebrating all things vodka.

[edit] Flavoured Vodkas

The chain has its own range of flavoured vodkas, that are served ice-cold to customers. These flavours are all made exclusively for the Revolution bars at their very own "Vodka Factory" just outside of Manchester. Flavours range from sweet tastes like "Pear drops" and "Chocolate Mint" to extreme tastes like "Chilli".

[edit] Russian Roulette

Amongst the chain's offers is Russian Roulette played with vodkas. Six identical looking vodka shots are poured out by the bar person for a party of customers. However, whilst 5 of the shots are sweet tasting, 1 is the extreme Chilli vodka shot and the customers do not know which of the vodka shots are which.

[edit] Vodka Nations

Six of the worlds supreme vodka brands go head to head for six weeks to be crowned Revolution's favourite vodka of 2007.

Each Vodka has represented their home country with a delicious limited edition cocktail and each cocktail purchase made is worth one point.
