Revenge is Best Served Cold is the first episode in the third season of the popular American crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which is set in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate the death of a high stakes poker player who dropped dead during a game. Suspicion falls on the other members of the game. Catherine and Nick investigate a dead body on an abandoned air-strip and are lead into the world of Vegas street racing.

Carmine Giovinazzo guest stars as street racer Thumpy G in this episode. He later guest-starred as NYPD Detective Danny Messer in the CSI: Miami episode "MIA/NYC Nonstop." He would reprise the role of Danny Messer as one of the main cast of the second CSI spin-off, CSI: NY. Giovinazzo is the first actor to appear in all three CSI series.
