Return of the Mac is Prodigy of Mobb Deep's newest album released under Koch Records. It was released on March 27, 2007. This album is a mixtape and is also a prequel to Prodigy's next studio album, H.N.I.C. 2.
The first two singles include "Mac 10 Handle" (sampled from Edwin Starr's "Easin' In"), & "New York Shit" (sampled from Gene Page's "Blacula Strikes"). His main single and video is called "Stuck On You", all videos were directed by DanTheMan. "New York Shit" has since been renamed "Return of the Mac".
The album was entirely produced by the The Alchemist and featurse songs sampled from the Blaxploitation era. Especially the Black Caesar soundtrack.
Return of the Mac debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 at number 32, with about 26,000 copies sold in its first week.[1]
